Get to know Sherry Ristau
I spent decades of my career leading change. I was "successful." Praised for my service and outwardly looking like I had it all together, while inside I was distracted and discouraged. I let comparison, people pleasing and need for recognition deplete the very fuel sources - the still waters of scripture, spiritual friendships, and beauty of nature – I encouraged others to tap into.
I knew I had to make a change, and I knew I couldn't do it alone. I partnered with mentors to help me shed my pride so I could directly confront my painful deficiencies. Through prayerful excavation, we evicted lies of unworthiness to reveal the light of Christ within. I replenished my soul and clarified my vision. I was called to help other Christian women in leadership who are suffering like I was – guiding them to confront their own lack and learn to rely on the power of Christ.
I created Amethyst Bold to be a movement of women who are ready to move past simple leadership development and are intent on listening and following Christ’s calling on their life.
